Dr. Derrick Quarles Joins the ASI Scientific Team
Applied Spectra is excited to announce that Dr. Derrick Quarles will be joining ASI’s scientific team as an Application Scientist.
In the past, Dr. Quarles had a fellowship with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as a chemist, specializing in Inductively Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). Dr. Quarles is published in a variety of journals including, Metallomics, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Spectrochemica Acta, Part B. His undergraduate work was completed at Augusta State University, and he received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2011 from Clemson University where his work focused on glow discharge spectroscopy. Dr. Quarles further strengthens Applied Spectra’s world-class scientific team, and will help to develop cutting edge applications and support ASI customers worldwide.
