Applied Spectra Highlights the J200 Tandem LA-LIBS Instrument at PITTCON 2013

Applied Spectra highlighted a full suite of LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) and LA (Laser Ablation) products at booth #3559 during PITTCON, March 17-21, 2013, in Philadelphia. The featured product at this year’s show was the J200 Tandem LA-LIBS instrument.

Short Course offered on Laser Ablation Chemical analysis at PITTCON 2013

Dr. Rick Russo and Dr. Jhanis Gonzalez from Lawrence Berkeley National Lab (LBNL) and Applied Spectra, Inc., provided a short course on LIBS and LA-ICP-MS, two analytical techniques based on laser ablation technology. The short course discussed basics of LIBS and LA-ICP-MS, optimum sampling methods, discussion of the latest advances in data analysis, and examples of field applications.
