Dr. Diane Wong Joins Applied Spectra’s Scientific Team
FREMONT, Calif. (May 31, 2010) — Applied Spectra, Inc. is pleased to announce that Dr. Diane Wong, Ph.D has joined its scientific team as a Senior Scientist.
Dr. Wong has worked in the field of laser and vibrational spectroscopy for over 15 years. She has expertise with various analytical chemistry techniques including LIBS, cavity ringdown spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy. Dr. Wong has published her findings in a number of peer-reviewed journals. She is responsible for the development of laser spectroscopic technologies for use in environmental, forensics and semiconductor industries. Currently, her work focuses on the detection of toxic metals and organic contaminants in the environment using orthogonal sensor technologies.

With her tremendous analytical research experience, she’ll play a significant role at ASI as a technical liaison for our customers as well as driving key application research for new customer requirements.”
Dr. Wong received her M.S. in Biotechnology, M.A. in Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD.
