FREMONT, Calif. (December 10, 2010) — Applied Spectra, Inc., a leading supplier of LIBS and Femtosecond LA * instruments, announced today that its J100-UV Femtosecond LA system has been shipped to Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in the US. The J100-UV is a state-of-the-art LA system based on a reliable, high-repetition rate femtosecond laser.

The J100-UV features Applied Spectra’s technology innovations for sample chamber design and transport gas flow control. In addition, the system includes an advanced sample surface imaging module, together with powerful system software for a highly-integrated LA-ICP-MS measurement experience.

Applied Spectra’s J100 Series Femto LA instruments can be coupled with Quadrupole ICP-MS or Multi-Collector ICP-MS instruments for accurate and highly precise isotopic analysis.
